Last Week Exhibition

What I did was dress up according to the chosen subjects for four days of the week, we left out Monday because we weren't in on that day, Tuesday was Neon Day, I chose to wear an Indian Jumper, I really stood out like a sore thumb on that day.

Wednesday was Mad Hat Day so I wore a mad top hat, I lookedlike the Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland.

Thursday was Random Day, it means that you get to dress in anything you want, I chose my old Deerswood school uniform, it felt like taking a trip down memory lane.

Friday was Superheroes and Villians Day, I really had a field day when I chose to dress as the fourth Doctor Who, Tome Baker, Doctor Who was a big supporter of Children in Need so it was a big deal for me.

I took no photos, I've just been posing all the time in my chosen costumes.

The studio setup was near the window of the fourth floor of the Tower Block for Tuesday. Wednesday and Thursday, we covered the windows with pieces of paper with huge letters saying, Neon Tuesday, Mad Hat Wednesday and Random Thursday, but on Friday the studio setup was in the foyer of the Tower Block, it was very gloomy outside and slightly dark so it was the best background to take photos inside.

Studio Lighting

Shadow Light: how to get rid of shadows.

Deflecting: Deflecting the light with a deflector to the model if dark, they use a redhead spotlight.
A Deflector is a white circle that expells the shadows from your face, but it can be a white piece of paper if you want.
Daylight Filter can be created by the studio lighting with a blue plastic card covering it up, this is called the In Fill Light.

The source of light is where the light is coming from, like for example, if you want natural light then you want it from the sun, but if you want artificial light, then studio lighting is the answer.

World Upside Down3

This is a tree with all the colours of November's bonfire, it's red leaves with tiny patches of orange and yellow brings out the wonder of Guy Fawke's endevour to blow up the Houses of Parliment.

I spotted this picture right way because the colours of autumn stood out with the green trees behind it.
It only took couple of minutes to take this photo.

World Upside Down2

This is a landscape Garden with a concrete building behind it, without the urban part, it would have a remarking resemblance of a Greek Garden.
It took a couple of minutes to take this photo, I also walked around the gardens to search for the best pictures.

world upside down

This is a picture of a huge christmas tree with tropicl trees surrounding it, it's beautiful to see in the centre of the Memorial Garden.
It took me a couple of minutes to take that photo, but it took twenty minutes to take photos in the Memorial Garden.

The Three Autumns

This is an Urban vs Nature scene of three trees in different colours, i like this one because Autumn is my favourite time of year, it brings out the colour in the town.

The Three Autumnas

the Mushroom Tree

This is an Urban vs Nature scene of a mushroom shaped tree, i like it because it looks like something from a fairy tale.

The Wind in the willows willow

This is an Urban vs Nature scene of a willow tree, i like it because it reminds me of a story called The Wind in the Willows.

Superman on Skateboard

This a Desisve Moment about a man flying upon a skateboard, i liked this moment because it feels it as if he was flying for real.

Blast from the Past

This is a Desisive Moment of a horse passing through the town, pulling a carriage, i loved this moment because it's not everyday that you see a horse pulling a carriage in the middle of town.

Bike Rider flying

This is Desisive Moment of someone flying a bike on a ramp.

Portreature3

This is portrait of Rebecca under a tree, i like this portrait because having Rebecca in the portrait can make you forget about the urban parts behind the tree.

Portreature2

This is a portrait of me underneath a tree, i like it because i have a special interest in trees, the way they change colour during the seasons of the year, this portrait is of Autumn because the tree has turned into a nice shade of black.

Portreature

This is a portrait of Jodie under a tree outside of the campus, it's a good portrait because it's a person with nature.

The Wind in the Willows willow

This is a picture of a willow tree, the most wonderful willow tree in the Memorial Gardens, I took this picture because the willow tree reminds me of that story,The Wind in the Willows.

The Mushroom Tree

This is a shady spot of a mushroom shaped tree with a gravestone underneath it, i took this picture is because looking at it at that angle looks like being in a fairies hideaway.

The Three Autumns

This urban nature picture is about three trees that have got three different colours, I took this picture because having colourful trees like black rose, fiery red and mellow yellow is beautiful.

This is the landscape of the woodland with paths and the trees are like lines from faraway.

This is a very abstract landscape of David Hockney's, a perfect picture of all the people looking up a tree with a cat clinging onto the branch and behind them are all fields and trees.

It could be either people or flowers looking up at the cat.

This is six pictures of a field with a crop on one side and the vast empty space of a wilderness on the other.

This is David Hockney's brilliant landscape of dead trees in the winter, waiting to be reborn in the spring.

This is another Andres Gurskey's landscape of the seaside with colourful umbrellas all over, it looks like a rainbow.

This is a landscape of thousands of people all standing together, they are forming a peace sign for the world.

This is a landscape of the sea with huge buildings and boats sailing in from forgien lands.

Photo basics

SLR Camera: single lens reflex

Aperture: one way of restricting light
F Stop: 2.4 around 22

The shutter speed is the slow shutter and the fast shutter, the slow shutter gives more light in one second and the fast shutter gives less light in 1/1000 seconds, no slower than 1/25 for handheld cameras.

Depth of Field:
The lower the number the smaller the depth of field the larger the hole

The Image

The Image that I found interesting is a huge canvas with crayon and paint smudges created by Gerhard Richter, I liked it because it was showing the artists emotions and feelings, their feelings come alive in colours being painted on the canvas.

The second Image that I found more interesting is the Nude gallery with men and women standing about naked, created by Marlene Dumas, I liked it because it was about life drawing, the perfect versions of Adam and Eve, teenagers who are immature and still act like children might think of them disgusting, but a mature person might think of them as true works of art.

The tate image I liked

the two images that I was drawn to happens to be a huge canvas with crayon smudges on them, it was like as if a child could've drawn it.
I disliked an image of Paul McCartney's video about a naked doing something wierd to another man, it was really sexual abuse, violence and Reprogressing, a masterpiece made by Paul McCartney.

My Photography

I usually take a lot of photos of my cat, places i go to and the town, but my most photography of interest is the four seasons, i take photos of the Autumn, Winter, Spring and Summer scenes.
I use disposable cameras because i can get them developed at the Chemists in no time at all.
